Show Related Posts in Hugo
Hugo is a great tool for blogging, creating quick and automated posts. As part of a blog, you will sometimes want to show related articles and posts to the one you’re reading. This is what this post sets out to achieve. We can make this in Hugo easily if we are using it’s tags structure. With this in mind, you’ll need to be listing tags within your markdown for this to work.
Show All Tags For a Post as a List
When showing your blog post, either as a single page or within a blog post list it can be nice to show the tags associated with that post (we do here on MakeWithHugo!). This is going to be a quick post (hopefully) showing you how to add your tags as a list and each linked up. You can add this code to either your single.html layout file or inside the loop in list.
Adding Social Meta Tags into ‹head› for Hugo
Adding social media tags to the <head> section of your website helps Facebook and Twitter know how to show your page when someone shares it. For example, what image to use and what the title should be. Hugo themes will often come with these tags added already - but if they don’t we wanted to look at how you can add them. Facebook uses Open Graph tags and Twitter uses Cards.
